Urban Knowledge Hubs Conference
Arrangør: The Royal Danish Library, Hamburg State and University Library, National Library of Latvia, and OsloMet University
Urban Knowledge Hubs; increasing digital literacy by designing innovative services and attractive hybrid spaces for people to learn, interact and exchange reliable information
This two-day event, part of the EU Interreg Baltic Sea Region programme project “Baltic-UKH”, will showcase the co-creative results from the local projects in Copenhagen, Aarhus, Riga, and Hamburg. It will feature presentations, talks, roundtables, and keynote speakers. We also invite participants to submit abstracts and presentations for inclusion in the conference.
The goal of the event is to present a methodological toolbox for the participatory design of innovative study spaces and services at universities and libraries. This toolbox, relevant not only to libraries but also to educational institutions and public authorities, supports the adaptation to a rapidly evolving information landscape.
In today’s digital world, the internet offers both opportunities and challenges in information dissemination. We hope our toolbox will be a valuable resource in this process for libraries and other public institutions, and we look forward to receiving your contributions and success stories that you would like to share with the international community from the Baltic Sea Region.
Participation is free of charge, but spaces are limited, so early registration is encouraged.
Venue: The Black Diamond – Royal Danish Library, Copenhagen, Denmark
