ELAN Collaboration Sessions: How to conduct a needs assessment
Arrangør: European Libraries Association Network (ELAN) at EBLIDA
How to Conduct a Needs Assessment.
EBLIDA is delighted to invite you to attend the first session of the ELAN Collaboration Session Series, which will focus on how to conduct a needs assessment (Pillar I).
The ELAN Collaboration Sessions are designed as the Seven Pillars – seven essential building blocks for strengthening the capacity of libraries and library associations across Europe.
About the Session
The ELAN Collaboration Sessions are structured around the Seven Pillars, seven essential building blocks for developing and reinforcing the capacity of libraries and library associations across Europe.
Each session represents a pillar of knowledge and practice, together forming a shared foundation for innovation, collaboration, and professional growth.
This first pillar focuses on a key starting point: How to Conduct a Needs Assessment. Understanding the needs of your community and organisation is the foundation on which all other actions rest. This session will equip participants with practical methods, examples, and inspiration to identify priorities and shape strategies that truly respond to real-world challenges.
Facilitator: Lola Brouhard, Association Nationale des Villes et Territoires Accueillants (ANVITA)
Background
The ELAN Collaboration Sessions are part of the focus area “library professionals,” which focuses on the capacity building of librarians, of the European Library Associations Network (ELAN), co-funded by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union.
Through these sessions, ELAN brings together library associations, experts, and practitioners to exchange experience and strengthen the European library ecosystem.
Join colleagues from across Europe in exploring this first pillar of ELAN’s capacity-building journey!
